I’m Katie Schneider
I’m grateful you’re here

One girl, one dream.
I started as a barista when I was 16, here in NWA. Over the years and into my 20s I worked in coffee shops here, Colorado, and California. I fell in love with the coffee shop atmosphere. One thing I love the most about coffee shops is that they bring people together. Friends, family, coworkers, people meeting for the first time, couples, etc. They also bring conversation and laughter, two of my favorite things. Coffee is pretty great too. 😉
I never imagined opening a shop in my hometown, downtown Springdale, AR. But when I came back from California (I was about 27 at the time) I started hearing about the revitalization of the downtown area and future possibilities. I started writing my business plan and doing the research. I had no capitol but luckily found Forge, a community lending company, that had enough faith in me to give me what I needed to open my little shop.
We have been open over 5 years now and since expanded next door to our original location. Another location and coffee trailer on the way! So keep an eye out for more Trailside Coffee stops!
About Trailside

A coffeeshop inside of a bike shop that serves up much more than just a groovy atmosphere. We serve locally roasted beans as well as beans roasted from different parts of the U.S.
We specialize in supporting our LOCAL COMMUNITY by serving local beans from Mountain Bird Coffee & Tea, Joyhouse Coffee Co., & occasionally Airship Coffee.
We carry locally baked goods from Ms’s B’s Sweets and local Chocolate syrup from Kyya. Our outside roasters that we love to carry or keep on hand are Mr. Espresso from Oakland, CA. & Doe River Roasters from Elizabethton, TN.
We also serve homemade ice cream, fresh cold brew, Italian sodas, teas, smoothies, and local beer! This is an eco-friendly, love is love, kind of organization and we plan to keep it that way. <3
